For 34 years, Maureen Carr-York has actively advocated for community and public policy advancements in every area of public service, including law, education, and health. She has also advocated for responsible, sustainable growth and development, fiscal responsibility, and conservative budgeting and tax relief.
Maureen has a unique background: Nursing, Attorney and now serving as Judge. Maureen was appointed by Governor Larry Hogan to the Orphans' Court where she has brought her legal knowledge and experience to bear addressing the needs of families coping with the loss of a loved one. As a resident of our community since 1988, she knows first-hand the values shared by citizens and businesses and the challenges being faced in these economic times. Her goal is simple and straightforward: To maintain the quality of life for those who live and work here by working diligently everyday with commitment, focus, and care. Maureen Carr-York has served in the trenches and has a unique, hands-on experience of the workings of every facet of our county government.
